Brighton will be without key striker Joao Pedro for Saturday’s FA Cup third-round tie with Norwich.

The Brazilian forward is set to be sideline for an unspecified period after suffering an ankle injury in training.
“I wanted him to play in the FA Cup but he sprained his ankle in training yesterday and he has to wait for the MRI scan to confirm,” manager Fabian Herzeler said at a press conference.
Herzeler described Pedro as an example after สมัคร ufabet กับเรา รับโบนัสทันที he captained the team in Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with Arsenal.
Pedro was hand the captain’s armband in place of the injury Lewis Dunk, and convert a second-half penalty to equalise against Arsenal after he was tackle in the head by William Saliba in the penalty area.
However, Herzeler could have Danny Welbeck back for the Norwich game, with an assessment due on Friday, and while he will be unavailable for the FA Cup tie, he will be available for Thursday’s Premier League clash with Ipswich.
The England international has not played since 8 December due to an ankle issue of his own but is pushing for a return.
‘We’ll have to see about Danny tomorrow—he might be part of the group,’ said Hurzeler. ‘But for Mats Wieffer, it’s too early. Joao and Lewis Dunk will also miss this game, so we have some issues.
‘That said, I’m confident the squad will still be strong enough to compete and win.’
Gini Rutte may be an option to play as a centre forward, but his best position is as an attacking midfielder behind the striker.
