Pep happy with stronger Reds, deserved victory

Pep Guardiola admits Liverpool deserved win after strong display. Pep Guardiola failed to bring points back from Anfield as Manchester City were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool in a Premier League clash on Sunday. 

The latest defeat means the Citizens have now lost six of their last seven games in all competitions. And are now 11 points behind Liverpool in 13 league games. UFABET 

Pep said: “I want to congratulate Liverpool. They deserved the win. The first 15-20 minutes they were unstoppable. We were lucky and they deserved the goal.”

“They are stronger than us and we need to control the game more. I think a lot of my players like Bernardo and Manuel Akanji have to play in positions they are not used to.”

“In the second half we showed who we are. The players tried very hard. The second half and the last 20 minutes were good.” 

The City boss added that he needs to be more present for his players at the moment than ever. Before as the team continue to face pressure from their recent performances.

“When I had problems, my parents never left me. Now I want to be with Man City and these players to help them through it,” Pep concluded.
