Amorim praises Ahmad ‘little boy, big toy’

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has hailed Amad Diallo as a “great talent” despite his diminutive stature.

Diallo was handed a starting spot at right wing-back in Manchester United’s 4-0 Premier League home win over Everton on Sunday.UFABET

The 22-year-old winger provided two assists for Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkze for the third and fourth goals. And was also involved in the second when he forced Everton’s defence into a mistake.

Amorim praised him after the game, saying: “He’s very talented even though he’s small. He did a great job, but he has to improve as well.”

“He had a great time, Ruud van Nistelrooy helped him a lot when he was there and now he (Diallo) is helping me.”

Meanwhile, the Red Devils manager also praised Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkze, who each scored two goals in the game.

“The new coach always wants this. He (Rashford) can do better. It’s a great job by the players.”

“The two goals are good for his (Sirkzee) confidence. We need fresh players and we have good players. We congratulate the players.”

Amad Diallo is looking forward to working with new head coach Ruben Amorim and wants to extend his contract with Manchester United as he seeks to “make history”.
